Information for Action
RHO staff planned and helped to implement the sixth annual Information for Action conference (Tucson, October 27-28, 2005), a binational conference with four keynote speakers and approximately 70 presentations in the areas of Gender and Health, Adolescent and Child Health, Chronic Diseases, Community Health and Family Violence. The conference was attended by approximately 200 participants.

The Info for Action conference provided an opportunity for researchers in public health and medical fields to share information with community activists and non-governmental agencies addressing health issues in their own communities and in the field. Participants identified areas of collaboration, policy and emerging knowledge to improve health in the Arizona-Sonora border region.
